HORIZON Valves are designed to offer long term maintenance free protection against fugitive emission which is assured through a deep stuffing box consisting of virgin PTFE chevron style rings. The axial pressure applied by the gland follower, assisted by the internal system pressure radially expands the chevron rings to form an absolute tight stem seal. Vacuum service applications require that the packing rings be installed in the inverted direction.
