It is important that fully lined ball valves are correctly assembled, packed, transported and stored, as the corrosion resistance of the valve is largely dependant on the integrity of the lining. For the extended life of the valve it is advisable to avoid blows or shocks to the lining and to prevent ingress of foreign particles on to the sealing faces of the flanges. When the installation of the valves are undertaken careful note should be made of the general installation and maintenance instructions for lined ball valves.
